New Amazon Transparency Labeling Rules Take Effect on April 30
Amazon has released a major update to the labeling policy of its Transparency Program, which will be officially enforced on April 30, 2026. The new regulation is designed to improve warehousing intake efficiency and reduce rejection risks by enhancing label recognition accuracy.

The core revisions include clarified label priority requirements and stringent spacing specifications. Amazon strongly recommends sellers prioritize the adoption of 2-in-1 labels (Label 3, 4, 6) that integrate Transparency codes with product barcodes (FNSKU/UPC). This solution can greatly reduce labeling errors and accelerate warehouse scanning and shelving operations.
If Label 1, 2, 5 or custom labels are necessary, sellers must ensure the Transparency QR code and product barcode are printed on the same side of the packaging, with a strictly controlled spacing between 0.3 cm and 2.5 cm. Non-compliant spacing will lead to scanning failures and obstruct inventory admission.
Sellers are advised to promptly adjust supply chain labeling procedures in accordance with the latest Amazon Transparency Program Labeling Guide. Leveraging bulk API downloads and the 2-in-1 label solution can mitigate compliance risks and ensure smooth warehouse delivery of shipments ahead of peak sales events.
While this adjustment is not complicated, poor implementation will trigger a chain of repercussions. For instance, warehouse admission delays will hinder inventory turnover, rejected shipments will incur additional logistics costs, and stockouts may even occur during peak sales periods, undermining sales performance. Sellers are advised to promptly review their Transparency labeling compliance to avoid unnecessary compliance issues after April 30.
